Advertising Policy
The standards Mem Services holds itself to whenever we describe our practice publicly.

Purpose of This Policy
Mem Services believes that how a practice like ours communicates matters just as much as the guidance we provide directly to families. This Advertising Policy sets out the standards that govern any public description of our practice — on this website, in print, in community materials, or in any future advertising we may produce. It exists to ensure that everything we say publicly is accurate, respectful, and free of the pressure tactics sometimes associated with services offered during moments of loss.
Our Advertising Principles
Every piece of communication associated with Mem Services, regardless of format, is expected to follow these core principles:
- Truthfulness. We do not make claims we cannot support, and we do not exaggerate our experience, capabilities, or outcomes.
- Clarity. We avoid vague or emotionally manipulative language designed to create anxiety or a false sense of urgency.
- Respect for the audience. We recognize that many people encountering our communications may be grieving or supporting someone who is. Our tone is calm and informative, never persuasive in a way that exploits vulnerability.
- No pricing claims or sales language. Our public materials, including this website, are intended to inform and introduce our approach — not to sell, upsell, or compare offerings against competitors.
No Pressure, No Urgency Tactics
We do not use countdowns, limited-time framing, artificial scarcity, or similar techniques anywhere in our communications. Decisions related to memorial planning should never feel rushed by a marketing message, and we design every page, flyer, or announcement with that principle in mind. If any communication from Mem Services ever appears to pressure a reader toward a quick decision, it does not reflect our intended standards and we would want to know about it.
Accuracy and Honesty
All statements about Mem Services — including descriptions of our team, our history, and the nature of our support — are reviewed for accuracy before publication. We do not use stock statistics, fabricated client counts, or invented years of operation to appear more established than we are. Where we describe our philosophy or approach, we aim to describe it as it genuinely operates day to day, not as an idealized marketing narrative.
Use of Imagery and Language
Images used across our website and other materials are selected to convey calm, nature, and quiet reflection rather than anything overly dramatic, staged, or emotionally exploitative. We avoid imagery that could be seen as depicting real families in vulnerable moments without consent, and we avoid language that romanticizes or minimizes the difficulty of loss.
Testimonials and Endorsements
We do not publish client testimonials, reviews, or endorsements tied to specific families without clear, informed, written permission, and we do not compensate anyone for providing a favorable statement about our practice. At this time, our public materials intentionally do not feature testimonials, in keeping with our preference for letting our actual practices speak for themselves.
Where and How We Communicate
Mem Services communicates primarily through this website, direct phone conversations, and limited community-facing materials such as local bulletins or civic newsletters. We do not run paid advertising campaigns designed to target individuals based on recent search activity related to loss or bereavement, out of respect for the sensitivity of that circumstance.
